I Can't Take My Spies Off Of You

Deception is the name of the game as we explore the dark art of espionage during our adventure! Although, Madame X will always offer various spy-themed experiences; this one will focus on the art of disguise! Our training facility will include a disguise and makeup studio filled with clothing, hats, wigs, accessories and shoes. Also, interspersed throughout our activities, Madame X will teach the new recruits about African-American spies throughout history, and will discuss some of the disguises that they’ve worn to carry out their covert missions. Ummm…Josephine Baker, anyone?!!!! Who knew?

The kids who choose to accept this mission:

Will learn the lexicon of espionage so that they can better understand and communicate in what intelligence officers and agents often call “spook speak.”

Each recruit will learn about concealment and handle seemingly ‘every day’ items that look innocuous enough, but could be used for hiding secret items and messages.

Madame X will test and enhance her new recruits’ memory and perception skills, and will instruct them on valuable and sneaky spycraft. Successful completion of the mission will be acknowledged by the class and rewarded by Madame X, herself!

Each recruit will learn about the importance of having fingerprinting skills, and how to lift and identify various finger print types.

The new recruits will be assigned a mission from which they’ll create a detailed and credible legend. From that legend, they’ll to go to the disguise studio and create their new identity through the use of hair, makeup, accessories, language, gait, behavior and mannerisms.

Our spies-in-training will watch informative videos from the former head of the CIA disguise division about how spies operate and what espionage tool, tricks and disguises s they used to escape detection.

All recruits will have access to our top secret disguise and make up studio and they’ll know the big difference between disguises and costumes.

All new agents will be required to present a special code that they’ll need to decipher, prior to arriving at HQ. We’ve already said too much. Agents received:

  • Detailed Briefing Materials

  • Welcome coffee for agent handlers

  • Modern training facility in a clandestine downtown Oakland location

  • Confidential dossier

  • African-American spy history lesson

  • Disguise and make-up studio

  • Interconnected, multi-sensory lessons

Much more, but we secure our high value assets
