Sow and Tell

During this fully-immersive experience on an absolutely beautiful farm, our Madame X’ers will embark upon an adventure that explores the vibrant history of African-American homesteading, and will include a wide variety of hands-on homesteading activities! Our Madame X’er’s will learn about resilience, long-held traditions and innovations in sustainable farming.

Please note that this awesome farm experience will occur on Sunday, August 6th. A slight change from our earlier Aug. 5th “Save the Date.”

Ain't MisBEEhavin'

Kids made a BEEline for this super fun experience. They physically uncapped and bottled honey from local hives, and engaged in an elevated course on honey tasting that included a panel of honey from around the world. Oh! and we can’t forget their bee education, which included historical background on pioneering African-American zoologist, Charles Henry Turner. That’s the Madame X way
